The Era Of The R Rated Superhero Movie

With the announcment of a rated R wolverine movie in the works and a rated R animated Killing Joke movie on its way its safe to say were drawing close to the era of R rated superhero movies and I love it! Dead-Pool is to thank for all this granted its not the first R rated superhero flick it is however the highest selling R rated superhero movie made so far. This may mean we could get a darker batman movie all thanks to Dead-Pool and its success not only batman but all darker heroes can get the proper big screen treatment and finally get out of that god damned PG-13 rating. In reality this is the only way for these movies to survive they have to cater to the older audience the ones who know the source material. Not to add they can get away with more in a R rating and that means way better stories and action sequences regardless ghouls and gals were in living in the golden age of comics to film.
