When it comes to Marvel shows Netflix usually gets it right and does a great job of representing the characters in a more realistic way than the comics can. Well in the case of Iron Fist it seems Netflix has taken a huge step back or at least that's what critics are saying. The Hollywood reporters Daniel Fienberg was quoted as saying the following "After the successes of 'Daredevil,' 'Jessica Jones' and 'Luke Cage,' Marvel and Netflix have their first big misstep." So while a very tame negative review it is still a negative and Iron Fist seems to have plenty of those. Reviewers also stated that the fight scenes were just plain boring and to staged. The verges Kwame Opam had the following to say about the fight scenes in Iron Fist "Marvel devotes a whole hallway fight scene to its new hero, but instead of the bruising chaos that came with past Netflix series, Iron Fist gets a stiff sequence, complete with hatchet-wielding Yakuza fighters, where it feels like no one is in any real danger."
So needless to say this show sort of falls short of a must watch.... Iron Fist flops onto Netflix next Friday March 19th.
