Houston resident Richard Lee (65) is suing Riceville Cemetery (which is located on the southwest side of Houston) after the coffin of his deceased wife Carolyn Joyce Fobbs Lee rose up out of the ground due to the current flooding in Houston. Richard's wife's casket was found 150 feet away on a hiking trail by a bayou and on top of that the Riceville Cemetery attempted to charge him a reburial fee after he had already purchased a concrete casing for the coffin to prevent this from even happening. So Lee lawyered up and is now taking legal action against the cemetery after he also found out that the concrete casing was made up to code and the proper holes were not drilled to prevent this diaster. On top of all of that the owner of the cemetery is Mt.Olive Baptist Church where Lee and his wife were parishioners for over 30 years. Another funeral home has attempted to bury Lee's wife free of charge but Lee refused saying he wants Riceville Cemetery and he also plans on being buried there as well. Here hoping everything turns out okay Sir!
