Fox has "temporarily" stopped production on Bryan Singer's upcoming Queen biopic. Fox apparently halted production due to Singers apparent "Unexpected unavailability". Fox issued an official statement regarding Singers absence from the film.

“Twentieth Century Fox Film has temporarily halted production on Bohemian Rhapsody due to the unexpected unavailability of Bryan Singer.” Fox also stated that Singers absence was all due to “a personal health matter concerning Bryan and his family.”

However multiple sources are reporting that Singer's absence is due to him frequently clashing with the films star Rami Malek. Malek is currently playing Queen frontman Freddy Mercury.

Whatever the case may be it's starting to look like Bryan Singer won't be involved in the Queen biopic moving forward. Fox has also expressed interest in finding a new director after Singer didn't return to the films set after the Thanksgiving break.

Bohemian Rhapsody Release: December 25th 2018
