Puerto Rico's economy is crumbling but don't worry ghouls and gals Puerto Rico's lenders have a great solution to the debt that the party island is facing simply close the schools and lay off teachers because who gives a fuck about education and the youth of the world. News outlet The Guardian got a hold of a document explaining basically why they are shutting schools down other than the obivious reason I stated earlier. The hedge funds called for Puerto Rico to avoid financial default – and repay its debts – by collecting more taxes, selling $4bn worth of public buildings and drastically cutting public spending, particularly on education...Puerto Rico’s current education spending works out at $8,400 per student, below the US national average of $10,667.
Well that sounds like a swell plan tell us how that works out for you guys.
