Drugged Out Lunatic Murders Ohio Police Officer

Last Sunday night Herschel Ray Jones (32) left his ex girlfriends house with one thing on his mind and that was to kill a police officer. So like any sane person Herschels ex girlfriend called 911 and reported what he had said. Sadly dispatch didn't reach the lone officer patrolling in the small village in daneville, Officer Thomas Cottrell’s body was found on the floor behind a muncipal building with his gun and cruiser missing. Herschel's brother John Jones spoke to NBC4 and said that Herschel had taken mass amount of an anti-anxiety drug called Klonopin. John Jones also said the following when speaking to NBC4 “He was out of his mind on drugs,” Jones said. “He already had done what he done. He still didn’t admit it to me though—that’s how far out of his mind he was. He completely went over the edge.” John Jones even went as far as to say that he and his family had contacted Herschel's parole officer to notify them that Herschel was at risk of doing something terrible sadly nothing was done. Herschel Ray Jones is now sitting in a jail cell where he belongs no bail has been set.
