Heathers The Series

Thats right ghouls and gals the 80s classic Heathers is being adapted into a t.v series for the TV Land channel. The Hollywood Reporter dropped the story and also a few details on how the first series will go. Reportedly the show will still retain the black comedy style of the original and the characters will still be in high school although the main roles have been changed a bit. The main Heather is now a black lesbian and another one is a gay boy and the final Heather is an over weight character. However who will play Christian Slater and Wionna Ryders parts is still up in the air. The Hollywood Reporter also stated that if the show were to get a second season it would be in a new school with a new group of "Heathers". As of now there is no release date for the Heathers t.v series but my guess is we can expect it late this year or early next year just in time for sweeps.
