Jurassic World the biggest movies to hit in the past ten years is getting a sequel! Which shouldn't be any surprise seeing as it is the biggest movie to hit in the past 10 fucking years. Jurassic World 2 is being directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and will be a part of a trilogy of Jurassic World movies. Bayona sat down with the website Latino Review and said the following about the new film and how he is working with Colin Trevorrow who is writing the whole Jurassic World trilogy.“I think they love ‘The Impossible’ and ‘The Orphanage’—especially Colin (Trevorrow) loved those movies,” he told LRM. “It’s very interesting. The whole ‘Jurassic World’ is a trilogy that Colin Trevorrow has envisioned. We’re writing the second chapter, and it’s very interesting where he’s leading the story. I grew up watching Steven Spielberg movies and I love those movies and the legacy, so it’s a question of being truthful to the legacy and at the same time, bringing new stuff that people will appreciate. We are still six months ahead of shooting, and so far, so good. It’s very exciting right now. He also gave a little inside info on the project as well. Bayona said the following “It’s a very unique story, too. It’s very connected to some of the stuff we’ve worked on before, especially ‘The Orphanage.’ It’s a drama with horror or horror with drama—it’s that kind of meeting that’s sometimes difficult to label, but it’s very interesting. He has an amazing cast and what I’ve seen so far is great. They just finished shooting ten days ago.” Jurassic World 2 Stomps into theaters June 22nd 2018!
