Last year I did my picks for top 10 worst horror film sequels now I give you The Otherworldly News Top 10 Horror Films! Hopefully you enjoy the list and semi agree.

10. Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) : The first of the Nightmare On Elm Street films is truly the strongest of the film franchise and one of the greatest horror films of the 80s. Robert Englund brings Freddy to life and has tormented the dreams of many people ever since then.

9. Scream (1996) : Another Wes Craven classic that redefined the genre of slasher films. Up until scream audiences hadn't really ever seen a movie like this. A killer with no motive who was basically driven by there love horror films. The film was even clever enough to have its own set of horror movie survival tips.

8. Jeepers Creepers (2001) : The title of this movie is so fitting the movies main antagonist is literally one of the creepiest movie monsters I have seen in modern horror cinema. Not to mention he goes around licking and eating the body parts of random individuals with a eerie 1940s song playing in the background.

7. Evil Dead 2 (1987) : Evil Dead 2 is one of the few horror movies I can honestly say is far superior to the original. I mean can you beat a movie that features a dude named Ashley running around slaying demons with a chainsaw that's attached to his arm?

6. Child's Play (1988) : The movie that got you to look at your toys in a way different light. Regardless of the turn the franchise took chucky's first appearance was nothing short of horror movie history.

5. Aliens (1979) : Don't let the age of this movie fool you it's scary as hell. When you first watch this movie you feel like an extra member of the cast you can almost feel the Alien breathing down your neck or the gripping feeling of isolation or impending doom. It truly is a must watch.

4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) : In my opinion this movie started the slasher genre among a number of other sub genres of horror. This film is the pinnacle of a horror movie and just knowing that its based on true events makes this film all the more terrifying.

3. Halloween (1978) : You can't have a top 10 horror movie list without including the master piece that is the original Halloween. This movie has it all from a menacing killer who is seemingly unkillable to a sexy baby sitter running around trying to avoid certain death and one of the creepiest theme songs heard in movies to date.

2. House Of 1000 Corpses (2003) : Rob Zombie's directorial debut gave the 2000s one of the most brutal and terrifying films. House Of 1000 Corpses is basically a love letter to horror cinema as you can clearly tell it knows what its audience wants.... Blood tons of blood.
AND MY PICK FOR THE NUMBER ONE HORROR FILM IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Friday The 13th Part 2: Did you really think I'd make a horror movie list and not have Jason in it? Friday The 13th Part 2 is the prototype horror film it literally has it all. Dumb teens, Unstoppable killer, corny dialogue, remote location that makes it so they have to depend on each other for survival Friday The 13th Part 2 is the definition of a horror film.

WELL THERE YOU HAVE IT GHOULS AND GALS HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY LIST.
