Yesterday Cacau Oliver founder of Brazil's "Miss Bum-Bum Pageant"(which took place Nov 9th & yes it is a real thing) thought it would be a good idea to recreate Leonardo DaVinci's Last Supper with a the eight finalist of his pageant. Needless to say the people of Brazil were pretty pissed off about it. Father Clesio Vieira, a priest from Rio de Janeiro was quoted as saying the following " the photo has broken the boundaries of ethics and respect, all in the name of money,” He went on to say "“This isn’t creativity,” Vieira said. “It’s the vulgarization of the sacred and is deeply disrespectful.” Even model Daiana Feguerdo who was chosen to sit in as Jesus is upset that she had to take part in this photo. She had the following to say about why she did the photo. “I did the photo because of my contract, but I didn’t like it and I wasn’t happy about it,” she said. “You can’t play around with the word of God.” "As a Catholic, Feguerdo said she understands why people are angry “because even I’m angry and I’m in it. For me it is blasphemy.” Cacau defended his photo by claiming that it was "cheeky" and never meant to offend or hurt anyone. I mean really what could we expect from a man who runs a literal ass pageant. None the less this isn't the first time the "Miss Bum-Bum Pageant" has been in hot water in its six year life span. The pageant is known to make its winners into overnight celebrates so contestants will literally do anything to win. In 2013 two contestants by the name of Mari Sousa and Eliana Amaral were accused and caught paying thousands and thousands of dollars in bribes to judges so they would be the front runners of the pageant. The following year model Livia Santos was kicked out of the pageant when it was uncovered she had rigged the online voting by purchasing votes. In 2015 the pageant again caused out rage when they were forcing participants to under go certain processes to ensure there asses were 100% genuine.
