Tomb Raider Reboot Finds Its Laura Croft!

That's right ghouls and gals after months of speculation we finally have confirmation on who is taking up the mantle of Laura Croft! Actress Alicia Vikander (EX Machima) will play the world adventuring archaeologist bad ass. As of now the film does not have a solid release date only that it will be coming out in 2018. Some other news has been announced about the Tomb Raider reboot via the films producer Graham King who sat down with HeyUGuys to briefly talk about the project he was quoted as saying the following “Well this is kind of what we call a ‘back to the roots story’. This is a young Lara Croft in search to see if her father is dead or alive, so it has a very emotional part to it and I think that’s what Alicia found so interesting about it. I think the storytelling is really good and i think we’ve got the right crew and a great director and I think it’s going to be really fun making a film like this.”

So basically there making a Laura Croft origin story.... Which could be really cool seeing as she has a huge back story to explore which really hasn't been all that explored on film.
