There's A Deadpool Animated TV Show In The Works!

That title isn't click bait! There really is a Deadpool animated series in the works and its headed to FXX! The show is going to be written as well as produced by Donald and Stephen Glover. You may recognize Donald Glover from his work on the Golden globe winning Atlanta as well as the hit show Community.

FXX has already ordered 10 episodes for the first season and they are planning on a early 2018 release. As far as the tone of the show its going to be straight up adult animation and the show will have no connection with the Deadpool films which is okay seeing as its Deadpool, I'm sure he's bound to break the fourth wall and mention he has a movie or two under his belt.

The Head of Marvel TV Jeff Loeb issued the following statement while announcing the untitled animated Deadpool series “How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth! We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with Legion continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”

Fx has a good track so far with turning marvel properties into successful TV shows (See Legion) and with the inclusion of Donald Glover there's no doubt that this animated series will live up to the Deadpool name.

Not to mention how cool it would be to see an animated Deadpool meet the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool (Hey it could happen)!
