In anticipation for there reboot of "The Mummy" (which comes out early next month) Universal looks to shake up there Classic Monster Universe. Earlier today Universal studios announced that they would now be calling there Monster Universe "The Dark Universe".

Universal also announced that Javier Bardem would be playing Frankenstein in the upcoming Bride Of Frankenstein movie which is going to be directed by Bill Condon and is scheduled to release on February 14th 2019!

In our humble opinion Bill Condon is the perfect choice for Bride Of Frankenstein seeing as he's no stranger to directing a romantic movie with a monster. Condon directed the live action remake of Beauty and The Beast which in again in our humble opinion makes him the perfect fit for this project.

Universal also confirmed the rumors of Johnny Depp playing "The Invisible Man" in an upcoming untitled Dark Universe film! Our guess is that Depp is going to star in a solo Invisible Man movie that features Tom Cruises character Nick Morton from next months "The Mummy".

Universal also confirmed that Cruises character Nick Morton would be featured in future Dark Universe films or at least thats the plan so far.

What do you ghouls and gals think of Universals plans for there Dark Universe?
