It looks as if Universals Studios first film in there "Dark Universe" The Mummy was better off staying dead and buried. At least thats what critics are saying! Earlier today critics started posting early reviews for the film and they were far
from positive. One critic by the name of David Ehrlich went as far as saying "It's Tom Cruises worst film to date". Another critic by the name of Chris Nashawaty who writes for Entertainment Weekly stated that the film was "derivative and unnecessary". Other critics singled out director Alex Kurtzman saying under his direction The Mummy feels like a literal mash up of monster movies and not in a good way.
One thing all critics agree on is Tom Cruise looking and feeling out of place in what critics are calling "A thrill free debut for The Dark Universe". Will you still be going to see The Mummy in theaters or have this critics scared you off?
The Mummy stumbles its way into theaters this Friday.
