The Lion King Remake Casts Hugh Jackman As Scar

The Lion King remake continues to round out its cast with Hugh Jackman who has just been cast as Scar! Jackman joins Donald Glover who is playing Simba and comedian John Oliver who is portraying Zazu. As well as Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner and James Earl Jones who is reprising his role as Mufasa.

Jon Favreau is set to direct the live action remake, audiences may remember that Favreau directed last years live action remake of The Jungle Book . Which critics and audiences alike both agreed was a very solid film. In our humble opinion the casting and director seems like a perfect choice to make a live action remake of The Lion King. Not to mention Hugh Jackman has plenty of experience in the musical department and with Donald Glover being involved we are bound to get a very musically pleasing film.
