Captain America: Civil War Actor Cast as Rafiki

John Kani, who played Black Panther’s father King T’Chaka in Captain America: Civil War, will voice Rafiki. Rafiki was originally voiced by Robert Guillaume back in 1994. John Kani joins an impressive voice cast with the likes of James Earl Jones, Seth Rogen, John Oliver and Donald Glover. The live action Lion King remake will hit theaters on July 19, 2019 and will be directed by Iron Man director Jon Favreau. Favreau was also behind the successful live action Jungle Book remake. Judging by the impressive voice cast he chose it looks like Favreau will have another success on his hands when the Lion King hits theaters.
