WWE superstar and part time actor John Cena and comedian Kumail Nanjiani. Are officially set to team up together for an upcoming buddy cop movie. The untitled film will of course star Cena and Nanjiani who will play what we are assuming is two complete opposites who form a unconventional bond over some type of police case. We can only guess at this point because there is no plot for the untitled buddy cop film. However the film is set to be directed by Ruben Fleischer the director who helmed the zombie comedy ZombieLand. The film is reportedly being written by Murray Miller who is most known for writing for show like American Dad and King of the hill. Murray also wrote this years Tour De Pharmacy which was a smash hit on HBO.

Judging by the talent brought on to make this movie. It seems like it has all the working to become the next big comedy hit in the same vein as 21 Jump Street and even Fleischer's Zombieland. Unfortunetly we won't be seeing Cena & Nanjiani's buddy cop film until 2019 at the very earliest. Both actors have insanely busy schedules at the moment. Cena is currently starring and filming the Transformers spin off film "Bumblebee. Meanwhile Nanjiani is currently filming the fifth season of the HBO smash hit series Silicon Valley. Also Ruben Fleischer is currently webbed up in the production of the upcoming Tom Hardy Venom film that comes out October 2018.
