Hocus Pocus TV Movie In The Works

According to Deadline.Com a sequel to the cult 90's Disney movie Hocus Pocus is in the works. For those of you unfamiliar with the Disney Film Hocus Pocus. Hocus Pocus follows a teenager who accidentally resurrects three ancient witches. And must protect his little sister from there evil plan to steal her youth. Along the way he gets help from his fellow class mate and falls in love with her.

Mick Gattis – cowriter of the original Hocus Pocus – revealed this week that a made for TV movie was in the works and that it would air on the Disney Channel. Gattis unfortunately didn't say much else regarding Hocus Pocus 2 only that it would feature an all new cast and a new director. It's uncertain whether the upcoming TV movie is a sequel or a reboot or re-imagining of the previous film. However we will say it will be a little hard to watch Hocus Pocus without the original Sanderson sisters. However it does makes sense that they would be looking for a newer cast seeing as nearly 30 years has passed since the release of the first Hocus Pocus film.

The Hocus Pocus sequel is still in the very early stages of development. So it might be awhile before you can start singing I put a spell on you.
