This past weekend McDonald's decided it would be fitting to re-release there mysterious szechuan sauce for one day only. Thanks to it's sudden popularity due to it being referenced on an episode of season three of Rick and Morty. Surprisingly that idea did not pan out well... McDonald's under estimated the fan base of Rick and Morty and quickly ran out of szechuan sauce. This made many fans of the show pretty angry some fans even went as far as trashing there local McDonald's restaurants and verbally attacking employees.

Co-creator of Rick and Morty and the voice of both Rick and Morty Justin Roiland. Took to Twitter to express his feelings about the whole Szechuan Sauce fiasco. Roiland said the follwing via Twitter.

You sort of have to feel bad for both parties in this case. On one hand you have Roiland and Dan Harmon who had zero to do with McDonald's re-releasing the Szechuan Sauce. While on the other hand you have McDonald's who we're assuming thought they were pulling a cool harmless PR stunt. Regardless both parties got the shit end of that deal. None the less we agree with Justin Roiland it's not the employees who did this. It was simply a good idea executed badly , luckily Rick and Morty fans will have another chance to grab the mysterious Szechuan Sauce this December. Because McDonald's has announced plans to bring back there szechuan sauce promotion this time it will be longer than one day (we hope!)
