Niantic the developer behind the smash hit mobile AR game Pokemon Go. Has announced that it's follow up to Pokemon Go will be Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. In an official statement on there website's blog Niantic said the following

"We're incredibly excited to announce this next step in the evolution of AR mobile entertainment. With Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, players that have been dreaming of becoming real life Wizards will finally get the chance to experience J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. Players will learn spells, explore their real world neighborhoods and cities to discover & fight legendary beasts and team up with others to take down powerful enemies."

Judging from Niantic's official statement Harry Potter: Wizards Unite seems like it will follow in the same footsteps as Pokemon Go. Where players must travel there neighborhood or where ever they are currently at on foot in order to find various power ups and enemies in the game. Niantic also stated that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will feature "all new technology and gameplay mechanics". Unfortunately Niantic didn't reveal any gameplay information or a release for the upcoming mobile game. However it's rumored Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be released sometime during 2018.

Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
