Wonder Woman 2 Gets New Release Date

The highly anticipated sequel to this years Wonder Woman movie now has a new release date. The currently untitled Wonder Woman sequel was originally scheduled to hit theaters on December 13, 2019. The film will now be released on November 1st 2019 a whole month earlier. According to THR (The Hollywood Reporter) the new release date is a result of Star Wars Episode:IX also being released during December. This decision isn't surprising as it would be very difficult for Wonder Woman 2 to contend with Star Wars at the box office.

THR also reported that DC is taking a note from Marvel's playbook. Releasing Wonder Woman 2 during November in an attempt replicate Thor: Ragnarok's success at the box office.
